How to install a toilet is a lot easier than in seems. It is not a difficult thing to do although you are not a handyman or plumber.
You don’t need to be an expert to get your toilet installed by yourself, but you need to know the basics. You can get a new toilet on your home without the help of a plumber. You can get a brand-new toilet on your bathroom and make it has a new fresh air.
Firstly remove the old toilet. You need to know the distance from the wall to the floor bolts before removing. The standard one has a measurement of 12”.
If your old toilet is on that measurement, you can comfortably replace it in the existing location with any standard toilet. Before you start removing the old toilet, don’t forget to turn off the water supply to the toilet basin and drain both the basin and the bowl.
Remove all the remaining water from the toilet basin with a sponge and a bucket. Use large rubber kitchen gloves to protect from any harmful bacteria while you are cleaning the toilet.
After that, you can start to remove the old toilet by unscrewing the tank bolts that fasten the basin to the bowl and the supply line. Remove the basin, floor bolt caps and the nuts.
Break the wax seal on the toilet move the bowl away and scrape away remaining wax around the drain opening. Now you can replace the old flange around the drain opening with the new one as your starting how to install a toilet.
The new wax ring can be put around the drainage hole. Make sure that the flange is tight to the floor or you need to remove the wax ring. Put the toilet basin over the anchor bolts snugly inside the floor bolt opening.
Tighten one side a bit, and then move on to the other side. In other words, tighten simultaneously as much as possible. Carefully fit the basin over the bowl, making sure the basin bolts fit inside the bowl.
